Chantelle has several feature productions in development. "I
Smell Oscar" and "Beauty" have recently been completed
in writing, along with five others in development being, “TIME”,
“Gold Diggers”, “The Underground”, “Super
Woman”, and “Raising the Torch”. Chantelle produced,
directed, and wrote the film "Death in Illumination".
She co-produced, and D.O.P.ed, "Metro Architecture" and
"Strange Man" that are in post-production, and produced,
directed, and wrote films ranging from six to twenty minutes including:
"The Hermit's Hut", "Currents", and “The
Protégé of Gucci”.
Chantelle will be a torch runner for the 2010 Winter Olympic
Games in Whistler. On Sept. 9th, 2009 she opened her second company,
Shackle Key Productions Inc. for the 9th Ward people in New Orleans
where her sensual dramatic feature “Beauty” is set.
A member of the Director’s Guild of Canada, she works on
the sets of major studios including: Twentieth Century FOX, Warner
Brothers, New Line Cinema, ABC, NBC/Universal, Insight, Disney,
Sony Pictures, and Nickelodeon among others.
Founding PIVOTAL filmworks Intl. Inc., mentored in bi-monthly
one-on-one strategic business planning meetings; Chantelle developed
a strong long-term vision for her work alongside Strategic Management
Inc., which clients previously included: Unions, Banks, and the
Department of Defense. Creating a compelling business plan, she
secured financing offers from two banks, and has personally developed
business expansion proposals for two other media companies. Part
of the process has led Chantelle to research, familiarize, and
live in most film center hubs: originally in Toronto, and for
a year in each of Los Angeles, Montreal, and currently Vancouver,
establishing connections and developing a sound foundation for
the company.
Sharpening her screenwriting skills, Chantelle worked as an intensive
development analyst for clients such as the screenwriter's development
Harold Greenberg FUND, and Alliance Atlantis. Receiving other
observances and training, her first on-set experience was observing
David Cronenberg. Dodi Fayed as well took an early interest in
her work. Cinematographer L. George, referred Chantelle to apprentice
to director Jeno H. on the film Triplecross. Later, she was able
to observe the AD department and director, Tim Story, on the Fantastic
Four - R.O.T.S.S.
In its origins Chantelle produced and directed PIVOTAL filmworks
Intl. Inc. media projects for industries including: film, television,
new media, new steel, plastics, new technologies, and educational,
among them. Chantelle worked directly with Company CEOs, Presidents,
and VPs, developing and delivering productions of various media
and uses. As a young entrepreneur, she has received many media
interviews from various publications, radio, internet, and television
including The Hollywood Reporter, and CBC's "Venture".
Her family background are Irish-Scottish Highland bankers, Americans,
and French including the Cholets that arrived in Canada in the
1600s. Chantelle cares greatly about the people in her family
and is inspired by their efforts and achievements. Her family
includes an ambassador, a former councilor to the UN in NY, and
a strategic business planner. An engineer that made first contact
with an isolated tribe, Chantelle’s Aunt was “man
of the year” in Aerospace, General Electric in California
and worked on the first space missions, a Brigadier General for
the army medical, a mainframer on one of the first Intranets among
others. Chantelle grew up independently in a world that shared
rich insights, and remarkable storytelling, and has had a singular
and sophisticated education. Moving forward, she has an individual
visionary's approach towards breaking new ground with the productions
she takes on.
Previous to this, Chantelle's education includes a Four year
BAA from Ryersons intensive Film Production Degree. A five year
Master's Graduation Diploma from Claude Watson's directing and
acting intensive theatre program. A one year graduate program
from Queen’s Park Legislative Page program, and is a ten
year graduate of the Academy Program for the Gifted.
